The mission of the Unbought & Unbossed Academy
is to support and empower Black women as they become leaders of their lives, and owners of their livelihood. Black women in the academy work to create a shared vision for our new world and build it together. The work is rooted in somatic healing, and co-operative economics. We are guided by ancestral wisdom, for our collective liberation.
The Challenge
Over 600,000 Black women faced layoffs in a single year. Black women entrepreneurs face strategic, systemic economic exclusion and the internalized “grind culture” that leads to isolation and burnout. Traditional business incubators focus on individual business strategy, while ignoring the nervous system and the power of collective action.
The Unbought & Unbossed Academy is a transformative ecosystem where Black women transition from traditional employment into sustainable entrepreneurship.
Program offerings include:
One-on-one coaching

High-touch group coaching, individual strategy sessions, expert guidance on capacity building & scaling, sales & revenue models, and business frameworks.

We are building an ecosystem of Black women Space Holders and World Builders who are working together across sectors to strengthen Black economic power and community resilience.
The goal isn't simply to help individual women build businesses. It's to equip Black women with the tools, networks, relationships, resources, and platforms to sustain our work, circulate wealth, strengthen our communities, and collectively build the world we want to live in.
Healing → Strategy → Ecosystem Building → Mutual Aid
