I’m Najmah Ahmad, founder of The Freed Black Girl platform — a space for joyful healing, learning, and collective liberation.
What started as a podcast has grown through content that has reached more than two million people. The work includes community workshops & events, healing journey advising, and a holistic ecosystem for Black women.
For nearly 20 years, I worked across education systems change, economic opportunity, workforce development, and program design, leading local, regional, and national initiatives that created pathways to opportunity for Black and Brown communities.
Over the past five years as an entrepreneur and coach, I’ve supported dozens of people transitioning from traditional employment into entrepreneurial work aligned with their purpose.
I bring that experience into The Unbought & Unbossed Academy, which integrates strategy, systems design, and entrepreneurship with somatic healing and community-centered approaches to building new worlds.
My own nearly seven-year healing journey through somatic therapy, coupled with five years of entrepreneurship has led to a deeply profound spiritual transformation that allowed me to release generations of trauma, and begin to dream of new possibilities for our collective liberation.
Thank you for being in community with me.
With Gratitude,
Najmah
